The application of HDPF pipe is very extensive, municipal engineering water supply system, building indoor water supply system, outdoor buried water supply system and residential community, plant buried water supply system, old pipeline repair, water treatment engineering pipeline system, garden, irrigation and other fields, industrial water pipes and so on.
The size of the HDPF required for these locations varies, and there are also types of radar differences.
Below are the dimensions and categories of several major HDPF tubes.
This type of HDPE/PP systems with various stiffness classes which are designed for utility and industrial applications.
It is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or PP to manufacture these pipes. The pipe diameter is from DN/ID300mm to DN/ID 4000mm. The ring stiffness is SN2, SN4, SN8, SN16 or according to customer requirements. The extremely low weight of profiled pipe allows a simpler and faster installation of the pipes, as in most cases no heavy machinery is necessary for the installation and handling of the pipes. Most of the handling can be done by an excavator on-site.
The HDPF pipe do not require large butt welding machines as they are joined either by rubber ring joint or electro-fusion. The installation time is faster than other materials as the standard pipe lengths are between 5.5 to 6 meters long. Fewer lifts mean unloading and loading the pipes into position saves even more time.
Moreover low investment costs and a service life over 100 years reduce the operating costs. HDPE/PP profiled pipe and fittings are made of the same material and jointed to one homogenous piece. Not even connections between the pieces pose a weak spot in the piping as they are joined by a rubber ring or electro-fusion water tight joint. Due to its low roughness there is almost no accumulation on the pipe bottom and profiled pipe have the ability to self purify.
Low roughness has an important economic advantage as maintenance expenditure is kept to a minimum. Due to the low roughness the hydraulic properties are improved and smaller diameters are required compared to conventional pipe materials with the same flow rate. profiled pipe convey flows up to 17% greater than concrete pipes, and up to 60%better than corrugated steel pipes.
Commonly most natural materials and other plastics are degraded by weathering effects, particularly by the combined impact of short-wave ultraviolet radiation in sunlight and atmospheric oxygen. Black polyethylene sprial pipes are permanently resistant to atmospheric corrosion and UV radiation, as the polyethylene used contains carbon black which acts as both a pigment and an ultra violet stabiliser. Thus the pipes can be used and stored outside without the pipe material being damaged.
2. PP-HM Spiral Wound Gravity Pipes
PP-HM Spiral Wound Gravity Pipes. PP profiled pipe systems with various stiffness classes which are designed for utility and industrial applications. It is made from high modulus PP to manufacture these pipes. The pipe diameter is from DN/ID300mm to DN/ID 4000mm. The ring stiffness is SN2, SN4, SN8, SN16 or according to customer requirements. The winded profile pipes are designed to reach a high ring stiffness with a low material weight. The most economic profile is the typical PR profile. It is with smooth inside and profiled outside wall covers all applications for high outside loads but just low inside pressure. The PP-HM allows not only to handle sewer or to store aggressive chemicals, it is also perfect for drinking water and food storage
These are the two kinds of HDPE pipes that we often use. They have their own characteristics and are applied to different places according to different characteristics, playing different roles to bring convenience and safety to our lives.
We can design the new HDPE/PP profile pipes according to the new material, customer's site situation and requirement. Fore more products and service, please rest assured to contact us.
