The drive system of a wound pipe machine's extruder is used to drive the screw and to provide the torque and speed required by the screw during the extrusion process. It usually consists of a motor, reducer, and bearings. The extruder is one of the important parts of a wound pipe machine so do you know how it operates?

Here is the content list:

•Preparation before starting the machine

•When the machine is started

•Shutting down the machine

Preparation before starting the machine

The raw material should be as dry as required before being placed in the extruder of the wound pipe machine and further dried if necessary. The raw material should be sieved to remove lumps and mechanical impurities. Check whether the water, electricity, and gas systems in the wound pipe machine are normal, ensure that the water and gas lines are smooth and do not leak, whether the electrical system is normal, whether the heating system, temperature control, and various instruments are working reliably; test run the auxiliary machine at low speed and observe whether the equipment is running normally; start the vacuum pump on the shaping table and observe whether the work is normal; add oil and lubrication to the slippery parts of various equipment.

When the machine is started

The machine can be turned on after constant temperature. Before turning on, the head and extruder flange bolts should be tightened once more to eliminate the difference between the bolts and the thermal expansion of the head. The order of tightening the head bolts is to tighten them diagonally and the force should be even. When tightening the head flange nut, it is required to be loosened and tightened consistently all around, otherwise, it will run material. First, press the "ready to start" button of the wound pipe machine extruder, then connect the "start" button, then slowly rotate the screw speed adjustment knob, the screw speed starts slowly. Then gradually speed up again, while adding a small amount of material. Pay close attention to the mainframe ammeter and various indicators when adding material. The torque of the screw must not exceed the red mark. Before the plastic profile is extruded, no one should stand directly in front of the extruder's mouth die of the wound pipe machine to prevent injuries due to bolt breakage or due to dampness of the raw material.

Shutting down the machine

Stop adding material and squeeze the plastic out of the extruder of the wound pipe machine to expose the screw, then turn off the power to the barrel and head and stop heating. Turn off the power to the extruder and auxiliary machine to stop the screw and auxiliary machine. Open the head coupling flange and remove the head. Clean the porous plate and the various parts of the head. To prevent damage to the inner surface of the head, clean up the residual material inside the head with a steel law or steel sheet, then use sandpaper to remove the plastic adhering to the head and polish the wound pipe machine.

These are the key points in the operation of the wound pipe machine, the core part of the extruder. If you need a wound pipe machine, you can consider our cost-effective products.
